Prices

Weekly tution at Escuela de Español Juan Sisay is

  • US-$ 165 per person and week (from 16th of August till 31st of May)
  • US-$ 175 per person and week (from 1st of June till 15th of August) 


This includes the following:

  • 25 hours of tailormade one-on-one classes per week (Monday to Friday) 
  • homestay with a local familiy (Monday to Sunday) for seven days of the week (three meals a days, room of your own)
  • free pick-up service within the city of Quetzaltenango from the bus stations
  • certificate about your studies
  • guided daily and weekly activities (transport, entrance fees, meals and accommodation not included)
  • free Internet access during breaks

If you prefer living accomodations other than with a family, you can arrange that on your own and just pay the tution to the school. The homestay-option is the most econmical.

If you arrive or start school during the week, costs are calculated accordingly.

Special arrangements are available upon request.


You may need about US-$ 35 to 40 a week for trips, your daily beer and so on.


How to pay

Please pay classes and accomodation directly at school in Quetzaltenango for at least one week of stay in advance.

We accept only cash (USD, Quetzal) and USD-Traveller Checks. ATMs in Quetzaltenango accept Credit Cards (Mastercard, Visa) to withdraw cash, also do the branches of the local banks.
